Westley Snipes was convicted of tax evasion in 2008. He served 28 months in prison beginning in 2010, but is now under home confinement until July 19. After that
Sylvester Stallone confirmed that Snipes will be joining his team of action stars for the third installment of The Expendables. Snipes and Stallone previously collaborated on the 1993 science fiction film Demolition Man.
The 2 Expendables movies raked up a huge amount at the box office, and there is no doubt that Expendables 3 is going to be definitely worth waiting for. Now that Wesley Snipes is finally on board, The Expendables is going to be unstoppable.
Sylvester Stallone also expressed his desire to hire Mel Gibson as the director for the third Expendables movie. He tweeted:
Mel is a MAGNIFICENT director! Pure passion on every level . we’d be blessed to have him.. A REAL long shot, but LIFE is a long shot -right?
We still don’t know if Gibson is ever going to take the project, but if that happens too, The new Expendables is definitely going to be out of this world. Think about it: Rambo, Blade, Mad Max–that’s an action star trifecta right there.
