17 The Hobbit Character Posters

These character posters of Peter Jackson’s should have been 18 – if we will include Benedict Cumberbatch as Smaug. But of course, Smaug is the famous dragon in The Hobbit films and he will only be used to voice it over. However, we’re still lucky to get a little of introduction to who are the characters are on this film so that we will not feel lost while watching it. To tell you honestly, when I watched the Lord of the Rings Trilogy a couple months ago with subtitles, that was the only time I can understand the entire story of middle-earth. Please forgive me for saying this – but my patience in a long-running films killed me big time.

Anyway, The Hollywood Reporter is so generous to share the 17 ‘The Hobbit’ Character Posters. Of course, we know that the major ones would be Bilbo Baggins, Galadriel and Gandalf the Grey. The rest would be considered accessories of an epic story of adventure and fantasy.

Take a look of the 17 Character Posters here:

Bilbo Baggins

In The Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from the fearsome dragon Smaug. Bofur

James Nesbitt will play Bofur, a dwarf who plays the clarinet. He has a disastrous tendency to state the obvious and blurt out things without thinking.

Bombur

Dwarf Bombur will be portrayed by Stephen Hunter in Peter Jackson's adaptation. A heavier dwarf, he's often falling when trying to navigate his large stature through treacherous terrain.
